Step by Step Process To Donate Plasma
Step 1: Qualify To Donate Plasma
To qualify to donate plasma, you must meet the following general requirements:
Be at least 18 years old
Weigh at least 110 pounds
Be in good health
Pass a medical exam and screening
Test negative for hepatitis, HIV, and Parvo B19
Not have gotten a tattoo within the last 4 months
Step 2: Bring The Following:
Government-issued ID: A valid driver's license, passport, military ID, or state-issued ID card
Proof of Social Security: A Social Security card, W-2 form, paycheck stub, or Social Security Verification
Proof of residency: A current lease, utility bill, or piece of mail postmarked within the last 30 days
The name on your ID must match the name on your Social Security card.
If you're not a US resident, you'll need a US Visa or Government ID.
Step 3: Medical Screening
You must have a pre-donation physical which includes answering medical history questions, tests for viruses such as HIV and Hepatitis and evaluating your protein and hemoglobin levels
Step 4: Donate Plasma & Get Paid
You sit down on one of the donation tables where a staff member hooks You up to a donation machine.
The donation process can take between 1-1.5hrs depending on how busy the center is.
You get paid via a debit card right after You are done donating. You can go to a ATM and get cash from the machine
